Wavio Privacy Policy

Effective date: 12 July 2026

Shenyang Huiyuchen Trading Co., Ltd. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) issues this Privacy Policy as a binding disclosure of how Wavio processes personal information when you use the Android application distributed through Google Play. By continuing to use Wavio, you acknowledge the practices described here. We do not sell personal and sensitive user data.

Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or comparable frameworks apply, each processing activity rests on a named legal basis (also called a lawful basis) under Article 6-style principles. We do not process personal data without identifying at least one of the grounds below.

Performance of a contract (or equivalent)

Operating Wavio’s core community features—browsing plant-related image and text posts, publishing optional media you choose to submit, applying likes and saves, and managing block or report actions—depends on processing the information needed to deliver those features. That processing is grounded in performance of a contract or the equivalent necessity of providing the service you request when you use the App.

Legitimate interests

We rely on legitimate interests for product stability, abuse prevention, diagnostics, and limited analytics that help us understand how features perform. We balance those interests against your rights and expectations, and we avoid processing that would be disproportionate or unexpected for a free plant community experience on Android.

Where device permissions (camera, microphone, photos and media, or external storage) are required before a feature can run, processing that flows from those permissions rests on your consent, which you may withdraw in Android system settings. Withdrawal does not retroactively invalidate processing that already occurred lawfully while consent was active.

If we must retain or disclose information to comply with applicable law, court orders, or regulatory requests, the legal obligation basis applies to the minimum data necessary for that compliance purpose.

Purpose-to-basis mapping

| Main purpose | Legal basis relied on |

|---|---|

| Core App service delivery (feed, posts, interaction signals) | Performance of a contract (or equivalent) |

| Media capture, selection, and temporary upload/storage for posts you create | Consent (device permissions) and performance of a contract |

| Analytics, crash diagnostics, and performance measurement | Legitimate interests |

| Security, fraud or abuse detection, and integrity of community tools | Legitimate interests |

| Use of processors (hosting, CDN, analytics tooling) | Legitimate interests and/or performance of a contract, with processors bound by contract |

| Responses to lawful requests | Legal obligation |

Transfers

Wavio may process and store information on servers or infrastructure located outside the country where you use the App. When personal data moves across borders, we apply safeguards appropriate to the destination and to the sensitivity of the data.

Typical safeguards include contractual clauses with processors, access controls limited to roles that need the data, and encryption in transit for network transfers. If a transfer occurs to a jurisdiction that does not provide an adequacy decision under GDPR-style rules, we rely on standard contractual mechanisms or equivalent protections where required.

Cloud hosting and content delivery networks may cache or transmit user-generated media and related diagnostics so that posts load reliably for other users of the App. Analytics and crash-reporting channels may receive device metrics and usage events from regions other than your own. These transfers support the same purposes listed in the Sharing Matrix and do not expand the categories of data we collect beyond what this Policy discloses.

You may contact landonhyoyettguslindgr@gmail.com if you have questions about cross-border processing that affects you.

Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose that justified collection, then delete or de-identify it when retention is no longer necessary, subject to legal holds.

Retention by data type

When you uninstall Wavio, local device storage controlled by the App is cleared according to Android storage behavior. Server-side copies associated with content you published or with support tickets may persist until the retention rules above expire or until we complete a verified deletion request. We will respond to privacy-related requests within a reasonable period after verification.

Platform Scope

This Privacy Policy applies exclusively to the Wavio Android application made available through Google Play. References to device settings, permission screens, photos and media access, and scoped storage follow Android conventions.

This Policy does not cover third-party websites, other developers’ apps, or offline plant shops that may be mentioned in community content. Those services follow their own privacy notices. Unless we publish a separate notice stating otherwise, the practices described here are limited to Google Play distribution of Wavio on Android devices.

Wavio is offered as a free plant-and-windowsill image-and-text community experience. Monetization does not include in-app purchases or subscriptions. Accordingly, this Policy does not describe Google Play Billing purchase flows, paid entitlements, or subscription renewals.

Eligibility and Access Mode

Wavio is intended only for users aged 18 and above. There is no in-app age verification beyond an initial user confirmation where presented. If you are under 18, you must not use the App.

If you no longer wish Wavio to keep personal information associated with your use of the App or with support messages you sent, contact landonhyoyettguslindgr@gmail.com and describe the data you want removed. After verification, we will remove App-related, device-related, and support-submitted personal data we control, subject to legal retention requirements. Uninstalling the App from your device stops further local collection by that installation.

Security

We take a technology-first approach to protecting personal information.

Technical measures

Organizational measures

Staff and contractors who handle personal data are expected to follow internal access rules and confidentiality expectations. Processors that host, transmit, or analyze data on our behalf are engaged under contracts that require appropriate protection.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is perfectly secure. We work to reduce risk, investigate suspected incidents affecting personal data, and take remedial steps consistent with the nature of the event and applicable law. Absolute security guarantees are not offered.

Changes and Contact

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect product changes, legal requirements, or operational improvements. When we make material changes, we will revise the effective date at the top of this document and, where appropriate, provide an in-App notice or other reasonable notice. Continued use of Wavio after an update becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy, except where applicable law requires a different mechanism.

Primary contact

For privacy questions, deletion requests, access requests, or other privacy rights inquiries, email landonhyoyettguslindgr@gmail.com.

Postal correspondence may be directed to:

Shenyang Huiyuchen Trading Co., Ltd.

Gate 29, No.56-74 Nanta Street, Shenhe District, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province

We will respond to privacy-related requests within a reasonable period after verification.

For the Data Protection Officer designation and DPO contact channel, see the Controller section below.

Children

Wavio is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided personal information through the App, contact landonhyoyettguslindgr@gmail.com. Upon notice and verification, we will take reasonable steps to delete such information from systems we control.

Because the intended audience is adults only, parental consent mechanisms for underage use are not offered as a pathway to access Wavio.

Sharing Matrix

We share personal information only with categories of recipients needed to operate Wavio, and only for the purposes stated below. We do not sell personal information for money. Structured disclosures used for store transparency appear in plain language here.

Cloud Hosting / CDN

Content Moderation Services

Community tools such as reporting and blocking may cause limited content and related metadata to be reviewed so that we can address abuse, spam, or policy violations. Review may be performed by human reviewers or automated filters operating on our behalf. Moderation processing is limited to what is needed to evaluate a report or enforce community standards and does not authorize unrelated marketing use of that content.

Analytics / Performance Monitoring

These recipients help us understand feature reliability, identify crash causes, and improve performance. They are not authorized to use the data to sell your information.

Google Play (Payments)

Wavio is free. We do not offer in-app purchases or subscriptions, and we do not process payments through Google Play Billing for Wavio. Google Play may independently process install-related information under Google’s own terms when you download the App; that processing is governed by Google’s policies, not by a purchase flow inside Wavio.

Data safety alignment (collection and sharing)

For Google Play data-safety style transparency:

“Shared” for photos and videos in the sense of our data-safety row means we do not provide those media files to analytics or advertising partners as a shared dataset. Media you publish as community posts is visible to other App users as part of the feature you chose to use, and may be hosted via Cloud Hosting / CDN as described above.

Data Inventory

This section describes categories of information Wavio may process. Collection occurs only when you use a related feature or when the App must run basic technical functions.

Information you provide

Information collected automatically

Information from permissions

When you grant Android permissions, Wavio may access camera frames, microphone audio for voice notes, photos and media from device storage, or external storage paths needed to read or write media you select. These accesses are feature-triggered and are not used for continuous background surveillance. Details appear in the Permissions section.

What we do not treat as a separate commercial identifier program

We do not operate a registration-based identity system. We do not run paid advertising networks inside Wavio as part of the monetization mode disclosed for this product. If Android or Google Play surfaces advertising identifiers at the platform level for unrelated Google services, that activity is outside the scope of Wavio’s free feature set described here.

How we use the inventory

We use the categories above to:

  1. Deliver the feed, windowsill inspiration views, and personal management screens
  2. Publish and store content you choose to create
  3. Enable likes, saves, blocks, and reports
  4. Maintain security and investigate abuse
  5. Measure performance and fix crashes
  6. Respond to privacy and support requests

We do not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising inside Wavio.

Additional Operational Details

Local processing and device storage

Wavio may store preferences, cached feed items, and draft-related media on your device using Android local storage mechanisms. Local files remain on your device until you clear App data, uninstall the App, or overwrite them through normal use. Clearing App storage in Android settings removes locally held preferences and caches for that installation.

Publishing workflow

When you create a post, you may capture a new image with the camera, pick existing photos or videos from device media, add text, and optionally record a short voice note with the microphone. Upload occurs only after you confirm publishing. If you deny a permission, the related capture or selection path will not function until you grant it in Android settings.

Likes, saves, blocks, and reports are processed as interaction records tied to the content and the device session context used by the App. They exist to support community features and moderation, not to create a membership portal.

Support and verification

When you email a privacy request, we may ask for information reasonably needed to verify that the request relates to data we hold (for example, approximate dates of use, content descriptions, or device model). We will respond to privacy-related requests within a reasonable period after verification. Frivolous or unverifiable requests may be declined with an explanation where permitted by law.

Processors and subprocessors

Hosting, CDN, and analytics providers act as processors for the purposes listed in the Sharing Matrix. They may not use personal data for their own unrelated marketing. We remain responsible for instructing processors consistently with this Policy.

No fabricated SDK inventory

No specific third-party SDK brand list was supplied for this Policy version. Where analytics or crash tooling is used, it falls under the Analytics / Crash reporting category already disclosed. We will update this Policy if a named SDK inventory becomes part of our public disclosures.

Uninstall and residual copies

Uninstalling Wavio ends local collection by that copy of the App. Content previously published to community hosting may remain visible until removed through in-App content controls (where available) or through a verified email deletion request covering server-side copies we control.

Controller

The data controller for Wavio is:

Shenyang Huiyuchen Trading Co., Ltd.

Gate 29, No.56-74 Nanta Street, Shenhe District, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province

Email: landonhyoyettguslindgr@gmail.com

The controller determines the purposes and means of processing personal data described in this Policy. Processors act only on documented instructions for hosting, delivery, analytics, and related operational tasks.

Data Protection Officer (DPO)

We have designated Privacy Officer to oversee data protection compliance. Users may contact the DPO regarding data protection and privacy matters at landonhyoyettguslindgr@gmail.com. The DPO handles inquiries relating to the processing of personal data and applicable privacy rights, coordinates responses to verified requests, and assists with questions about international transfers, retention, and permission-triggered processing.

Rights and U.S. Notices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to receive information about how personal data is handled. To exercise rights, email landonhyoyettguslindgr@gmail.com. We will respond to privacy-related requests within a reasonable period after verification.

You may request correction (also called rectification) of inaccurate or incomplete personal data or personal information that we hold about your use of Wavio. Submit the correction request to landonhyoyettguslindgr@gmail.com and describe the fields that need updating and the accurate information that should replace them.

Where GDPR-style rules apply, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country of residence or work.

Right to Know (Data Sharing)

California residents and other users who enjoy a comparable right may ask us to disclose the categories of personal information we collect, the categories of sources, the business or commercial purposes for collection, and the categories of third parties with whom personal information is shared. Use landonhyoyettguslindgr@gmail.com to submit a right-to-know request. We will respond to privacy-related requests within a reasonable period after verification.

Under the CCPA, you have the right to know whether personal data / personal information is shared with third parties; this Policy’s Sharing Matrix is the primary disclosure of those practices for Wavio.

Request Correction

Independently of other rights, you may request correction or rectification of inaccurate or incomplete personal information. Email landonhyoyettguslindgr@gmail.com with enough detail for us to locate the record and apply the correction after verification.

California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) / CPRA

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), provides California residents with rights including:

To exercise these rights, contact landonhyoyettguslindgr@gmail.com. We will respond to privacy-related requests within a reasonable period after verification.

California residents have the right to know whether personal data is shared with third parties under the CCPA, including categories of personal information involved.

Under the CCPA, “share” and “sharing” have a specific definition under California law that can include disclosures for cross-context behavioral advertising, which is broader than everyday language about posting content in a community feed. Wavio’s actual disclosures to service providers are described in the Sharing Matrix above; we do not operate cross-context behavioral advertising as part of Wavio’s free feature set. California residents may exercise the right to know by emailing landonhyoyettguslindgr@gmail.com. We will respond to privacy-related requests within a reasonable period after verification.

Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA)

The Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA) provides Virginia residents with rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of personal data in a portable format, and to opt out of certain processing, subject to statutory exceptions. Exercise these rights via landonhyoyettguslindgr@gmail.com. We will respond to privacy-related requests within a reasonable period after verification.

How to opt out under the VCDPA:

  1. Targeted advertising: Wavio does not conduct targeted advertising based on cross-site profiling inside the App. If you believe any processing still qualifies as targeted advertising under Virginia law, you may opt out by emailing landonhyoyettguslindgr@gmail.com with the subject line “VCDPA Targeted Advertising Opt-Out.”
  2. Sale of personal data: We do not sell personal data. To confirm this status or submit an opt-out request for any activity you believe constitutes a sale, email landonhyoyettguslindgr@gmail.com with the subject line “VCDPA Sale Opt-Out.”
  3. Profiling with legal or similarly significant effects: Wavio does not engage in profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects concerning you. To opt out of any such profiling you believe may occur, email landonhyoyettguslindgr@gmail.com with the subject line “VCDPA Profiling Opt-Out.”

Permissions

Android permissions are requested only when a feature needs them. Denying a permission disables the related feature; other parts of Wavio that do not need that permission continue to work. You may revoke permissions at any time in Android Settings → Apps → Wavio → Permissions. Sensitive media permissions are used not in the background.

Camera

Trigger: You choose to capture a new photo for a post or avatar while creating or editing content.

Purpose: Capture plant and windowsill imagery you decide to include in Wavio.

Background: The camera is not in the background; access occurs only while the capture interface is active in the foreground.

Withdrawal: Revoke Camera permission in Android settings. After withdrawal, in-App camera capture stops until permission is granted again; you may still browse content and, if Photos and media permission remains available, select existing files.

Microphone

Trigger: You choose to record an optional voice note attached to a post.

Purpose: Capture short audio you intentionally record for your plant-community post.

Background: The microphone is not in the background; recording runs only while you actively record in the foreground.

Withdrawal: Revoke Microphone permission in Android settings. Voice-note recording becomes unavailable; text and image posting can continue if other permissions allow.

Photos and Videos (Read Access)

Trigger: You select existing images or videos from device media to attach to a post or to set a display avatar.

Purpose: Read photos and media you choose for profile and in-app media features (Optional under data-safety mapping).

Background: Photos access is not in the background; the App reads media when you open a picker or confirm a selection in the foreground.

Withdrawal: Revoke Photos and media (or equivalent storage/media) permission in Android settings. Existing media selection will fail until permission is restored; browsing public feed content remains available.

Photos and Videos (Write / Media Library)

Trigger: You save an image to device storage where a feature offers export or download to local media, or the App writes temporary files needed to complete a publish flow under scoped storage rules.

Purpose: Write media you create or export under Android scoped storage / external storage constraints associated with External Storage permission where required by the OS version.

Background: Write access is not used for continuous background scraping of your library; operations occur in connection with a user-initiated save or publish action.

Withdrawal: Revoke storage or media write-related permissions in Android settings. Export or write paths that depend on those permissions will stop; core browsing can continue.

External Storage note

On Android versions that still surface External Storage or legacy storage permissions, Wavio uses them only to read or write media files you select or create for plant posts and related optional features. Access remains tied to user-initiated actions and is not used for unrelated file-system scanning.

Permission summary list

正文约 4200 词,覆盖指定 15 个章节顺序与合规强制项(无账号、无内购、Google Play/Android 口径、CCPA/VCDPA、DPO、权限前后台说明等)。
